Love springtime planting!

Just planted probably the last of the stuff I am planting for this season... will plant more in the fall. But, got Fennel, Basil, garlic chives, and regular chives planted, and transplanted some lettuce... but not sure how the transplanting of the lettuce went. lol

Dr. DooLela!

When we got home from meeting, there were three ducks in our yard, two boys and a girl. They were chasing the girl and making all kinds of ruckus all over our yard, round and round in circles. Lela is like what are they doing. And I said, the two boy ducks are chasing the girl duck. Then she spoke for the girl duck-get away from me you freak! lol (right as the girl duck, turned to one of the boys and started quacking all kinds of things! lol). Then that boy did go away. And Lela was like, bye you freak! And then it was her and the one boy. They actually came right up to Lela and were quacking all kinds of things to her too! I never seen mallards come up to humans like that. Like I mean right up by her, looking right at her and talking! lol It was funny!

Debil Eggs

Belle- Why do they call them debiled eggs?

Me- I don't know.... I think it's cause there is mustard in them.

Belle- I think it's cause they are from the debil! Yeah it's cause they are debil eggs, from the debil!

Well there you have it folks, now the devil has his own eggs! Sneaky devil!

Spring has sprung!

We are still homeschooling and loving it. Lela is almost done with second grade, she is with my dad and Darla this week on spring break in Arkansas. She's been doing Calvert through MVPS, but we are about to go out on our own homeschool wise, and start using DollarHomeschool.com and Eclectic Relaxed style homeschooling. Been buying all kinds of things for her nature studies and can't wait to get started with it.

Belle has been doing Easy Peasy, and Emma Serl's Number Stories... so much fun. She is really good at it. She is also on spring break with my parents. And RJ is right on her heels loving to really learn more then Belle even. And he is staying home with me this week.

This week, I've also been planting and planting, and cleaning the gardens. So far, I have planted two kinds of chives, and onions, and kale and lily of the valley. This weekend will be some lilacs, rhubarb and more onions, and chives, and kale. I also ordered some seeds for lettuce and tomatoes.

Since I last posted, we have bought a house. It's cute, and I love the huge yard and all the flowers and garden areas already in it. I am having a lot of fun planning and planting more too. Last year, I planted hyacinths that came back and are already up and blooming, lambs year, lilac, and a few other things that didn't live. lol As I was cleaning the flower bed, I also discovered there is already green onions growing in it, two patches! YEAH!

Crazy Busy Day

Such a busy day! and I'm exhausted! Meeting, came home washed dishes, made lunch, defrosted food for tomorrow, reorganized garage, cleaned back patio, cleaned front porch, reorganized Lela's closet, Vince's closet, packed away coats that were too little for this year, had date with Vincent, shopping, cleaned dining room.... ARG. today was long! lol

West Congregation Hot Cocoa Party!

Such a fun hot cocoa party that the congregation had for the children. Sooo many things they had. It was awesome. Each child was able to take home a mug for hot cocoa and their own stuffed teddy bear too. It was such a neat party!

Secret Ingredient!

I have been trying to figure out Tzatzitki Sauce for at least 10 years. I tried again last night and still not quite right...something always always missing. So back go pinterest and google, and finally, I hit on a recipe...the ONLY blog out of about 100 with a ingredient in the recipe none of the others had....Feta....added feta to today's batch and walla.....I HIT it! Finally! No more having to buy it from the restaurants! ;) I'm so proud of myself. Now if the kids would just get well! Every Saturday I get us all ready for meeting, and Sunday morning they are sneezing and vomiting, what is up with this? ARG!
