Lights Off!

We had a bad blizzard yesterday, for the first time in Rochdale, we were with out heat and electricity for about 5 hours! And alarms in the building was going off, and the fire department came. It was quite the deal. Apparently we have 2 to 3 feet of snow but with the drifts it seems like a lot more. I LOVE the snow though! I will go shopping tomorrow, I hope there's food left!

Visiting Bethel

Yesterday we went to Bethel. There is a brand new tour of the hotel, on 90 Sands. It's really neat. They always took you over there during the printing tour, but not as a detailed of a tour of it as yesterday. It was really neat. We seen a Bethelite room, the library, family room, commissary, and just so much. It was really neat. Then we had lunch there. Boy was the food great! We had turkey, that was so juicey and tasty, it was the best I had ever had. Mashed potatoes, wonderful gravy, cranberry sauce, broccoli, salad, whole wheat bread, and to top it all off, home made cherries and cream swirl ice cream, that was delish. (I just had two spoonfuls. MMMMM) I will post a picture later. It came out horrible, cause it was so windy out, my hair was a mess, and I was smiling very oddly! hahaha

Any way I am beginning to like my hair more. I think I will keep it, cause it's very simple and easy to fix, and maintain. So I will be going back and having it maintained I guess. I am starting to like it a lot better. Even the UPS guy noticed it and the mail man and they both like it too. lol I never had the UPS guy and mail man comment on my hair before! lol haha

The problem at first is I thought it made me look a lot older, and boyish. But, now it's just looking more mature I think. And better. It's been hard for me to see myself as a adult. I still feel like a kid most the time. I guess the new do kind of helps me see myself more like a adult too.

New Hair Cut

I got a new hair cut on Monday. I've had my hair trimmed but not cut in over 15 years. It's quite different. I'm not real happy with it yet. But, maybe I will grow to like it. It's not what I asked for either. But, oh well. Maybe it will grow and I can get it fixed how I want it! I am donating nearly 3 feet of hair to Locks of Love so it can be made into wigs for children with cancer. I will post pics later.

Weight Loss

It's a new year! And I am happy to be 46 pounds lighter then I was, January 1st 2004!!!!!!! WOW, I have came a long way. I have lost 81.5 total. And I have learned so much about myself in 2004. I did so much! I went to new places. I went to Beverly Hills, took classes with Richard Simmons, started talking to JoAnna Lund, and found I loved her recipes. With her recipes, and Richards healthy eating/exercise approach, not only will I lose the rest of my weight but keep it off! I also learned to like/love myself. To do this so I can live, not only be alive, but enjoy being alive. And I have went from a size 28, to a size 8! And that's been AMAZING!!!!!!! WOW! I never even thought about getting in a size 8. EVER! I am just very happy, and also at peace beginning 2005. I hope every one else has the same contentment, this year.

As for things I would like to do this year. I would definitely like to keep up with daily Bible reading better this year. Get in more hours in service. And just keep working on developing myself and who I am.
