Blue Bonnet
I got a little more done with my recipe site. Still have a lot to go though.
We got some shopping done yesterday so that was good. Wal-mart had a big glass "cracker" jar. Which they rarely ever have. In fact I've only been able to buy two others! I am always looking for them. So glad they had another. So now I have three. I keep a lot of food in them in the kitchen.
I broke a plate the other day, dropped it while washing it. So we are down to only two plates! So we went looking yesterday. Ended up at Target, and there was two I loved! One is a country ceramic look, and the other is a broken sea glass look. I love the sea glass ones! But, Vince thinks both are too small. So we waited and came home and measured my other plates. And the sea glass ones are a 1/2 inch smaller then our current plates, and the ceramic type ones are a half inch bigger. So we'll go with the bigger ones. Although I LOVE both kinds! haha So I guess we'll be going to get those today.
All in all yesterday was a good day. Easy going, slow and just getting things done.
I finally got all my bookmarks organized and uploaded to yahoo. I do that randomly so that I won't lose my bookmarks in case the pc dies. I haven't done it in forever, so that was good to get done.
I got all my graphics all organized as well. So now all I need to do is put them all on a flash card. (back up!).
Well, I'm ready to head out the door now. Target here we come! haha

Little by Little
I promised I would add a picture of Lela in her bonnet today. I thought we had some better pics of her in it, but I guess not. The swing is in the way. I lost the photo that had her face in it. When Photo bucket went down.
I've gotten all my graphic folders all cleaned up! Now to just back it all up.
I also now need to work on my links/bookmarks as they are a mess too, and need backed up, before something happens.
I got a brain storm last night on graphics for the recipe review site, so I've been working on that today too. *whew* Lots to do.
AND I need to clean the house too! But, it's getting done. Little, by little.
The only real problem is our neighbor smokes, and it is constantly coming in our apartment. I feel like I am going to get cancer at this rate! I always have a sore throat and sinus problems from it. I'll be glad when we can get a house, and out of a apartment, so that we don't have to put up with this in our own home, in our own bedroom! It's bad enough dealing with smoke outside in public, but to have to sleep with it (like she must stay up all night just smoking! Which scares me, what if she falls asleep and burns the place down!) and live with it in my own home is just over the top.

Up and Running
I am so happy I was able to get all the recipe pages up and running. Today I'm just working on the graphics and looks of them.
Next month...I'll work on the personal pages of my website and put them on blogger pages too.
I also rummaged around on this blog and fixed some broken links and what not. And I officially changed it's address, for the first time in YEARS! I love the new address though. I haven't been wolfprncez in forever, it was time to change!
So I will go and tell every one of the new address now.

Transferred
Phew......took what seemed like forever, but I have all my graphics off my homestead site, and finally have all my recipe reviews transferred!
Now I have to get all my personal pages transferred. But, I need to get back to my pillow cases! I will do the personal pages in October! I don't think I will do all of them, but probably the wedding ones and a few others and that's it.
I'm most happy I got all the pictures off of it, and all the recipe reviews transferred! I wish I would of just done it last year though! But, boy has it seemed never ending to get it all transferred. But, I did it finally! :)

Hard to say Goodbye
I've been busy, busy, busy.
See, when I first went with Homestead it was FREE. You could have unlimited everything for free. (it is who hosts my website). Well, then after about 10 years they started charging. At first it was very little for existing members. Only like 20 dollars for 3 years! Well that wasn't bad. Well little by little, and then by leaps and bounds they have raised the price. Now my website is costing 160 dollars a year! So, it's going to have to go bye bye.
However, I have years and years of pictures up there, and ALL my recipes reviews.
Well, I paid this year's 160.00 so I would have enough time to transfer every thing. I just got all the pictures transferred.
Now it's time to do all the site! I am going to start with the recipe reviews. UHG, that's going to take a while! lol
I'm moving all the recipe reviews to Blogger.com. So that way every one gets a chance to be redirected to the new site when they click on the old site.
But, maybe by tomorrow I'll have started the move.

Block Party Time
We went to the block party yesterday and it went well. Good to see most the family again.
I thought the collard greens came out great! So I'll be making them in the future again.
Not much else going on other then that though.
I am still pining away to get to go that Cross Stitching store in Long Island.

Shopping!
We went shopping today, on the way to the car, Vince, said Lela looks like Richard Simmons! lol The hair, the shorts, the tank top, it was hilarious! We had to get pictures. Sadly we later lost the picture when I lost all the photos I had on Photobucket.com
I picked up some collard greens and molasses, I want to try a new way of making collard greens! A sweet way. The greens I had on Saturday at the sister's home was kind of sweet. And I want to try my hand at this sweet tasting collard greens!
I have been trying and trying to think of what I would name our home when we find it in Kansas. And I finally came up with a name!
Woodford Prairie Homestead.
Took me long enough, but it's finally something that I think fits perfect, has our name, describes where we will be living, and what kind of place we want. Finally!
There's a block party on Saturday it was thrust upon me short notice. I think I'll make the collard greens if they come out ok for me testing them on my family first. And the Heather's Trade Winds Jell-O Salad I came up with. The block party wasn't supposed to be till the last Saturday of the month. I don't know what happened but all the sudden they called yesterday and said it's this Saturday! UHG!

Day in the Park
We walked Lela to the park today, and I forgot the camera. She had fun though! She drove her Little Tykes car to the park. Then she swung, and swung and went down the slide numerous times.
I pushed her on the swing for about a hour (no, I am not exaggerating!). Then Vince came, and he pushed her a little more on the swing (she didn't want off yet!). Then played with her on the swinging bridge and slide.
Once he came, I started working on my my embroidery project. And read a little bit of my new Weight Watchers Magazine. I also glanced through my Country Woman Magazine, it gave me a idea of a really good spring or summer menu plan! I have to go to healthyexchanges.com and do a search for one recipe for the main dish, some kind of ham and linguine recipe, I know JoAnna Lund had a recipe for it. The Country Woman Magazine called theirs Straw and Hay. It looked so good in the picture it spurred me to create a whole menu around Straw and Hay, I was thinking I would find JoAnna's recipe for the same dish, then serve it with her Daffodil Carrots, and my new Heather's Tropical Jell-O Salad recipe. I think it sounds so refreshing, and mmmmmm. So it was a really nice day in the park. We stayed for about 3 hours.
On the way home, I stopped into the police department and asked if they were still collecting sneakers to recycle into playground mats, but they aren't. *sigh* Now I have to figure out where to take them so they can be recycled. The police department had been taking them for a while, I wish they hadn't stopped, as the department is right behind my building.

Bringing Hair Back
When I lost around 75 lbs, I thought it was time for me to get a new look. So I cut off all my hair! Before that I had long hair.
I've been thinking about it, and I think I'm ready for long hair again! I have started to miss my long hair.
When I went on vacation to Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo, I bought a bonnet, like the ones on Little House on the Prairie. I love wearing it. It feels like nothing is on my head. And I forget I am even wearing it. I can see myself with long hair though wearing it too! So that's it, I'm growing my hair out again!

Moving!
I just can't wait till we will have a home of our own. We plan on moving to Kansas next year. And I just love to day dream about all the things we will do when we have a yard! I'm even considering raising honey bees. I wonder how hard that would be?
The more I think about it, the more I would love the life of a farmer, I think. Not a commercial farmer, just a home style farm. :) I want chickens for sure! I can't wait to have chickens!

Fun Gathering
We had a good time at the sister's home. Come to find out several others there were from our sister congregations. Lol Which was pretty unusual since this sister lives in Brooklyn, and we met her at a Brooklyn Convention, that was not ours, and we live in Queens, and was assigned a Queens convention. So most the people there lived with in blocks of us! I don't know how she met them! Lol But, it was a regular back yard Barbecue. And it was really fun. Every one was real nice. At first though Vince was kind of scared. And hey I was a bit too! Lol He thought about calling his parents and letting them know where we would be in case we never came home! Lol They would know where to look for us! Lol haha But, they were nice people and we had no problems. Lol I was kind of scared too at first. Even though they seemed nice in line, they were still people we really didn't "know". Lol But, of the other guests, some of us knew friends of friends of each other. Which was pretty neat! We all live with in blocks of each other, and come to find out even though we are in different congregations most of us all go to the same Hall! So that was pretty neat. So we all knew friends of each other. In fact one of the couples there knew my husband's best friend! And they had "heard" of other friends of ours. Another brother there knew a really good friend of ours, who we give rides to all the time. So it was pretty neat, and fun. The sister giving the party though, she goes to a congregation in Brooklyn. I guess she was having a Queens party! Lol hahaha
I brought Luscious Lemon Dessert from the Friends and Family book By JoAnna Lund and it was a hit! They ate it all, and even washed my dish to send the dish home with me. Lol I've never had any one wash my dishes! Lol haha But, they all went on and on about how great it was. And they wanted the recipe! Little did they know it was HEALTHY! Lol haha There was at least 20 people there and EVERY one went on and on about the dessert. In fact it was all eaten up, and the two store bought cakes and ice cream (some one else brought) barely touched!
I also hurried and whipped her up a flour sack towel as a gift, I usually like vintage patterns, but didn't have time for that. (only had about 2 hours) So I made her a monogrammed one and kept it simple. :)

Gordie Gave the Public Talk
Today is the day we go to the sister, we met on the line at convention, home for dinner. I can't even remember her name! EEK! I am hoping things go well. I was in such shock over being invited to her home, I forgot to get her a gift! UHG, now it's too late. I wish I could whip up a tee towel really fast, but I don't think I can be that fast!
Tomorrow Gorden, my father in law's brother is giving the public talk for our congregation. He's a Circuit Overseer, we're not in his circuit, but he's visiting tomorrow. My father in law has his first every public talk coming up. So we will be having lots of visitors for both talks. Lots of people will want to come see Gordon, and most the family was going to travel on over to see my father in law give his first public talk as well.
